DETOX YOUR SOUL IN 2022 – HEALTH GUIDE

Like clockwork, it is time to de-clutter your home, getting rid of all the things you no longer need. What about cleansing your mind and soul? 


Now that we’re in the final days of 2020, it’s time to focus on your mental wellbeing and start 2022 off feeling positive. 


Check out the following ways to give your soul a healthy detox.

1.Spend Time with People Who Make You Feel Positive 

Getting rid of negative people gives you more time for those who make you feel positive. Whether you’re planning a quick dinner date or coffee date, be sure you set aside time to do something fun with those you love. You can relieve some stress and boost your spirits simply by conversing with a friend you care about for 15 minutes.

2. Clear Your Clutter

It’s never too late to get rid of clutter. Physically clearing the clutter off your desk and kitchen counter might not seem like it would do much to de-clutter your mind and soul, but it does. Clean surroundings will make you feel lighter and more energized, so you will not feel bogged down and stressed out by them. 

3. Learn To Make Pottery

Spend some time making pottery instead of scrolling through social media. The act of spinning clay and getting your hands dirty is known to be incredibly therapeutic. This helps you relieve stressful feelings while also creating something beautiful to display in your home as a reminder to keep striving for positive emotions.

4. Consider Rethinking Your Diet

It is impossible to properly nourish your mind and soul if your body isn’t properly nourished. Identify your diet: If you tend to eat a lot of processed junk and little fruit and vegetables, add more colorful, healthy options. You will feel better physically and emotionally if you eat an apple or banana for breakfast rather than a sugary bar.

5. Don’t use your phone after 8 pm

People carry their phones with them all day long. Can you imagine traveling anywhere without it? Give your mind and soul some space at night by turning off your phone and letting it stay in airplane mode. With your phone plugged into a charger in a separate room, you can focus on the people in your life without distraction.  

6. Relax in a Warm, Soothing Bath

Detoxing your body can be a wonderful way to unwind and relax. A warm long bath is a wonderful way to achieve that. You can rejuvenate your soul by adding slices of fruit or some essential oils to warm water instead of buying a bath bomb from the supermarket with a long list of weird ingredients.

7. Enjoy a Spa Day

Take some time for yourself by heading to the spa. Get a massage once a month to work out those knots you’ve built up from work-related stress, sip on cucumber water with calming background music, and lie by one of the spa’s relaxing pools. Your mind will feel calm like it hasn’t in a long time and it’s well deserved. 

8. Never compare yourself with others

It is impossible to not compare yourself to others in today’s world. Even while watching TV, reading magazines, or double-tapping pictures on Instagram, it happens. If you want to feel happier, you need to start focusing on what you like about yourself instead of what other people want from you. This will open your heart on a deeper level.

9. Get some quiet time

Have you ever sat quietly for a long time? Yes, without listening to music or watching television, without your phone, too. Sometimes the simplest thing is to just enjoy being present. When there is always something going on, it is impossible to shut off your mind. When you’re cozied up on the sofa, cuddle with your dog or take in the glow of the fireplace

10. Take Control of Your Emotions

The act of showing emotion has become associated with a weakness for some reason. Let’s change that fast. By releasing all of your feelings, whether they’re happy or bad, you de-clutter your soul. Even if it means crying.
